Fire Extinguisher Training
Often the first bit of equipment reached for in the event of a fire is the fire extinguisher, yet many are still unaware to the range of extinguishers available, the varying uses they have, the types of fire they can tackle, or indeed how to handle them properly when called upon.
Our Practical Fire Extinguisher Training aims to address this, ensuring that staff have at least minimum level of knowledge on how to use the fire fighting aid in emergencies.
Course Outline
This training course is focused specifically on the use of Fire Extinguishers in the work place. It aims to ensure staff have an understanding of how to correctly handle and use a fire extinguisher, as well as helping them develop an understanding of the variety of extinguishers available, and what they are for.
Course Content
Along with general discussion about fire safety in the workplace, our Practical Fire Extinguisher Training course will cover:
- Identifying and selecting the correct extinguisher equipment.
- Best practice action, when it is safe to use a fire extinguisher.
- Understanding and using the PASS formula (Pull – Aim – Squeeze – Sweep) for safe use of extinguishers.
- Practical / hands on fire extinguisher demonstration & participation.
Attendee Number
To ensure efficient training, we recommend no more than 12 delegates at a time attend our Fire extinguisher training courses. However, we are happy to run multiple courses per company to ensure more staff can attend.
